Signi Murgatroyd is the dynamic Conductor and Artistic Director of Victoria’s Kintara Women’s Chorus. In addition to reveling in the sound of women’s voices, Signi works as a private voice teacher. Signi has a varied background in singing and has performed in Classical Voice Recitals as well as a jazz vocalist in a small ensemble and big band. She is a graduate of University of British Columbia (BMus) and the University of Victoria (MMus). As a choral director, Signi focuses on healthy vocal production linked with high performance standards. Signi ensures that Kintara Women’s Chorus singers are challenged with interesting and eclectic choral repertoire that is performed with spirit and enthusiasm – which also happens to be a lot of fun!
